While many of us were attending this weekend the ESE/ESPE 2025 conference in Copenhagen, we were shocked to hear that our Italian colleague Lorenzo Sala had suffered a heart attack. We later learned that he had passed away in Milan on Monday, 12 May 2025.
Lorenzo was a lovely man, a hard-working chairman who led the Italian Adrenal Patient Organization for many years. Thanks in part to his knowledge and hard work, the Italian patient organization AIPA was able to connect with its colleagues in Europe. We mourn this loss. We offer our condolences to his family.
We wish our Italian colleagues in the Association Italiana Pazienti Addison A.I.P.Ad. courage and energy to process this loss and the power to move forward without Lorenzo. We hope the AIPAD organization can continue its good work.

We regret the loss of Lorenzo. We send our dear condolences to his family, his wife.
